Vision
Can you Visualize what it would be like if every child believed that God made them, God loves them, and Jesus wants to be their friend forever by the age of four?
We believe that you can never be too young to learn about who God is. That is why we strive to provide our littlest children with their First look at “Who” God is.
By engaging the children’s senses in activities and crafts we help the children Visualize who God is!
Through exciting and interactive worship we encourage the children to openly express their love for who God is and praise Him for all that He has created!
By presenting the Word of God in new & fun ways we open up the wonder in each child’s mind to Visualize our God who is bigger than their imagination.
By equipping our parents with tools to take into their homes we help bring our children’s faith into their daily lives, taking their Vision into action.

Proverbs 22:6 says; “Train up a child in the way they should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

Servants
TotZone is a cooperative program involving every parent as well as other dedicated volunteers. Our volunteers serve with great joy, counting it a privilege to work with children and their families as their little ones begin their faith journey.

Strategy
Our Children’s ministry classes are designed with a strategy to teach with an “End” in mind. A strategy, that will build a strong foundation of faith, grow it, challenge it and mature it throughout a child’s life. We want to teach each age group at their own level, while preparing them for the next class and a lifetime of service for the Lord.

Children’s Ministry Coordinator

Hello, I am Megan Colvin, the Children’s Ministry Coordinator at Southbridge Community Church.

It is my goal to provide your children with a fun & safe place to come and Discover God. As infants, our children are a garden waiting to be planted. As our children grow and we plant seeds through lessons & activities that stretch their imagination of “Who” God is and provide vibrant worship to praise our amazing God, those seeds begin to grow in their minds and in their hearts.
Can you visualize what it will be like when your child believes that God made them, God loves them, and Jesus wants to be their friend forever? I can!

Now that your children have embraced a God who is bigger than their imagination.  It is time to add the element of Discovery so children can understand how to grow in their relationship with God and His Truth. 252 Kids provides us with the opportunity to teach your children the three Basic Truths.   As the children’s knowledge of the Basic Truths develops our goal is to see them model the characteristics of Jesus in Luke 2:52.   We then fuel their passion of living for God, by giving them the opportunity to BE the church and to make a difference influencing their generation by serving others.  My goal is to create a fun and comfortable environment where kids can connect with friends, leaders and God at the same time.

Parenting is a job without an end and one that comes with many challenges. It is my honor to have the opportunity to partner with you in ministering to your children. It thrills me that you are here and I know that you will find Southbridge a place for your family to grow in faith together. May God bless you and I am looking forward to getting to know you better.
If you have any questions or would like any additional information, please feel free to contact me.

KidZone

Here at Southbridge, parents and church leaders work together to make a difference in the lives of children so that we can do more together than we can do alone.

We believe there are five things every kid needs to know:

1. A really big God they can trust no matter what happens.
We want to partner with you to help your child grow up knowing that God is big enough to handle everything.

2. Someone else who believes what they believe.
The friends your children spend time with will ultimately influence the decisions they make in life.

3. Other people say the same things as their parents.
Our leaders connect with your kids as friends and mentors.

4. “God” sense to help them make wise choices.
We make sure the Bible is never boring. Each week, kids walk away with one truth about God that they can remember forever.

5. They have parents who know where their kids are spiritually.
We know that what happens at home is more important than what happens at church. So, we want to equip parents with tools to build faith and
     character in their kids.

Our curriculum draws from the model of Jesus expressed in the Gospel of Luke. Luke 2:52 says: "And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man." The kind of growth modeled by Jesus happens by intention, not by accident. So children learn:

      • Wisdom ("I need to make the wise choice."),
      • Faith ("I can trust God no matter what.") and
      • Friendship ("I should treat others the way I want to be treated.")

Our Children’s ministry classes are designed with a strategy to teach with an “End” in mind. Strategies that will build a strong foundation of faith, grow it, challenge it and mature it throughout a child’s life. We want to teach each age group at their own level, while preparing them for the next class and a lifetime of service for the Lord.
On Sunday mornings, Kids will start in the main auditorium with their parents at 9:00am or 10:30am, allowing the family to worship together through song. The children will be dismissed after the music is done to the KidZone room. Parents can pick up their children after the service is dismissed at the KidZone room. Through large and small group activities, kids will learn a Bible story that emphasizes the monthly virtue and the weekly bottom line.
On Wednesday nights during the school year, join us for 252 kids! Kids will connect with a regular small group leader and mentor, sing and worship with friends, pray and participate in fun and relevant activities.
