Welcome!

Kids in grades K-5 will meet with God and each other in a service just for them. KidsZone staff lead kids by providing an energetic atmosphere, presenting their message each Sunday in fun and creative ways through costumed characters, puppets and an interactive curriculum designed just for kids.

Kids will start in the main auditorium with their parents at 9:00am or 10:30am, allowing the family to worship together through song. The children will be dismissed after the music is done to the KidZone room. Parents can pick up their children after the service is dismissed at the KidZone room.

     Mission Statement
Kid’s church is dedicated to come alongside parents by laying down a biblical foundation; leading children to a relationship with God to become followers of Jesus Christ for the rest of their lives. Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it. -- Proverbs 22:6

No Title - Connections LifeGroups

    Commonly Asked Life Group Questions?

What are Life Groups?

Life Groups are small groups within the church made up of 6-12 people who meet regularly to experience life together. The mission of Life Groups is to connect people into meaningful, authentic relationships through elements that reflect Biblical community: Bible study, prayer, caring and loving relationships, celebration and worship, eating together, and outreach.

Why are Life Groups so important?

At Southbridge, our vision is to become a church where no one stands alone. Not one person. We all secretly long to fit in and belong to a group of people that accept and love us for who we are. Life Groups are the best place for genuine relationships to form and connection and growth to occur.

What will we talk about?

Very simply you will talk about life. We desire to experience life together and one of the best ways to do that is to talk about it. At the beginning of the year, this will be accomplished by every Life Group focusing on the current teaching series from the Sunday morning worship service. We also talk a lot about our pursute of three vital relationships: intimacy with God, community within the church, and influence outside the Church.

How do I get connected to a Life Group?

We have found the most successful way to get connected to a Life Group is through relationships. Finding people who identify with your season of life is important. Life Groups are affinity based so you can fit into a group that is most like you. So whether you are single, newly married, married with children, or a soon to be "empty nester" there is a group for you.

Are there different types of Life Groups?

Yes, there are four types of Life Groups designated by if you are new to the Church, or to Life Groups, and by how often you wish to meet.

Essentials: The primary Life Group type for the majority of the Church. Commitment is two times per month and will meet during the 2nd and 4th weeks.

New Beginnings: Designed for individuals who are new to the Life Group experience and would like to learn more before committing to a group - and also for individuals who are waiting for an opening in an existing group or are looking to form a new group. New Beginnings is not intended to be an on-going Life Group but provides a connection opportunity until individuals find a Touchpoint, Essentials, or Acceleration group. Meets one time per month on the 3rd Saturday night.

The vision of Southbridge is powerful, yet simple. Powerful, in that, we believe God will use our church to reach many people with the love and positive life change that is found in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Simple, in that, we believe God is calling every child, teen, and adult that is connected with SouthBridge to lead Christ honoring, Spirit filled, and purpose driven lives. Christ Honoring...We believe God is calling every Christian to personally commit to the Great Commandment, “...Love the Lord God with all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength” and the Great Commission, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone, everywhere.” Spirit Filled...We believe God has provided the power of the Holy Spirit to be a positive impact in our personal lives, as well as in the life of our church. Purpose Driven...We believe every Christian is placed here by God to accomplish five purposes; Worship, Evangelism, Fellowship, Discipleship, and Ministry. These five purposes should be the priorities that drive our individual lives and the ministries of Southbridge Community Church. We invite you to join us on this exciting adventure in faith.

What Does Southbridge Believe?

Southbridge Community Church recognizes that it cannot, and does not desire to, bind the conscience of individuals in areas where Scripture is silent. Rather, each believer is to be lead in those areas by the Lord, to whom he or she alone is ultimately responsible. We believe the Statement of Faith to be an accurate summary of what Scripture teaches.

The Inspired Scriptures - The Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, are the inspired and infallible revelation of God to man and the authority of faith and conduct. SCC accepts the Bible as the revealed will of God, as the all-sufficient rule of faith and standard for daily living. (2 Timothy 3:15-17; 1 Thessalonians 2:13, 2 Peter 1:21)

The One True God - The one true God has revealed Himself as the "I Am," the Creator and Redeemer of mankind. We believe God eternally exists in three persons called the Trinity which is compromised of God the Father, God the Son (Jesus) and God the Holy Spirit. (Isaiah 43:10,11; Genesis 1:1; Ephesians 4:5-6)

The Deity of Jesus - The Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. The Scriptures declare His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, death, resurrection, and ascension to the right hand of God. (Revelation 1:8; Hebrews 1:3)

The Fall of Man - Man was created good and upright; however, man voluntarily transgressed and fell, and thereby, is spiritually dead and away from God. (Genesis 1:26-27, 2:17, 3:6; Romans 5:12-19)

The Salvation of Man - Man's only hope is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. Salvation is by faith through grace and demonstrated in repentance leading to a relationship with Jesus Christ. (John 3:3; Romans 12:13-15; Ephesians 2:8)

Ordinances of the Church – We believe that following faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, the new believer is commanded by the Word of God to be baptized in water by full immersion in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We believe in a unique time of communion in the presence of God when the elements of bread and grape juice (the body and blood of Jesus Christ) are taken in remembrance of Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. (Mark 16:16; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26)

The Baptism of the Holy Spirit - Given at Pentecost, we believe the baptism in the Holy Spirit is the promise of the Father available to all Christians. It was sent by Jesus after His Ascension to empower the Church to preach the gospel throughout the whole earth. In scripture the Baptism in the Hoy Spirit is accompanied by speaking in tongues (unknown prayer language)(Acts 1:4-8; 2:1-4; John 14:15-17).

Sanctification - The act of separation from that which is evil and dedicating oneself to God and that which is good, upright, and morally pure. (Romans 12:1,2; 1 Peter 1:16; Hebrews 12:14)

The Church and Its Mission - The Church is the representative of Jesus on earth and is to carry out the Great Commission. (Matthew 28:19; Luke 19:10)

The Ministry - A divinely called and scripturally ordained minister has been provided by God to lead the church in evangelization, worship, building the body, and general leadership of the church. (Mark 16:15-20; John 4:23-24; Ephesians 4:11,16)

Divine Healing - Is provided for today by the Scriptures and included in the atonement for our sins. (Isaiah 53:4-5; Matthew 8:16-17; James 5:14-16)

The Blessed Hope and Second Coming - The resurrection and rapture of all Christians dead and alive to meet Christ in the air is the Blessed Hope. The Second Coming of Christ includes the rapture and a return to earth by Christ with His saints for a thousand-year reign. (Romans 8:23; 1 Corinthians 15:51-52; Zechariah 14:5; Matthew 24:17,30)

The Final Judgment - There will be a final judgment at which all men will be judged. (Matthew 25:46; Mark 9:43-48; Revelation 19:20)

The New Heaven and Earth - All of God's children will reign forever in a new heaven and a new earth. (2 Peter 3:13; Revelation 21,22)

We at Southbridge Community Church welcome you and your child. Your child is special to us, and it is our desire to minister to each child’s spiritual, physical, social and emotional needs.
We teach children Bible truths in an age-appropriate manner, while providing a safe, nurturing, and fun environment for young children; enabling parents to participate in worship and spiritual growth.
TotZone serves children from the age of 1 month through Pre-K. We offer a wide variety of activities, bible lessons, songs, and crafts each week. Snacks are provided.
The Preschool class opens 15 minutes prior to service and closes 15 minutes after service in order to allow you time to enjoy some coffee and connect with other adults.
Feel free to keep your children with you or let our loving caregivers take care of them for you.

    Join Our Team!

We provide quality care for each child. Our nursery is a cooperative program involving every parent as well as other volunteers.

We ask that each parent serve two times a quarter. As a result of each parent taking a part, we maintain an excellent ratio of adults to children, increasing the ministry value and care to each child.

We maintain a Rule of Three, which means that there are always two adults in a classroom, so that no child is left alone with an adult. Each time you bring your child, you can be confident that your children are cared for, loved and instructed in the ways of God.

What can I expect when visiting Southbridge?

When visiting Southbridge you can expect to feel welcomed, accepted, and inspired. We have all kinds of people from all different kinds of religious backgrounds and upbringings who have decided to make SCC their church home. Southbridge is a “come as you are” casual church that is open to anyone desiring to know God more.

You can come expecting our full-band worship team to lead you in passionate, uplifting worship and singing. You can also expect preaching that is heart-felt and relevant that will challenge and encourage you. We invite you to come as you are, leave different than you came, and expect God’s best.

Southbridge has a one hour and fifteen minute service that starts at 10 AM. Infants and toddlers can be checked into the Nursery as soon as you walk in and elementary aged children are dismissed to Kid’s Zone after the singing portion of the service. You can then pick up your children at the conclusion of the service.

What does Southbridge have for my family?

Nursery Care: We offer childcare during our Sunday morning service for children from one month to pre-kindergarten. It’s our desire to minister to each child’s spiritual, physical, social and emotional needs. We offer a wide variety of activities, Bible lessons, songs, and crafts each week. Snacks are provided.

Kid’s Zone: Children in grades K-5 will meet with God and each other in a service just for them. “Mr. and Mrs. B” will lead kids by providing an energetic atmosphere, presenting their message each Sunday in fun and creative ways through costumed characters, puppets and an interactive curriculum designed just for kids. Kid’s church is dedicated to come alongside parents by laying down a biblical foundation; leading children to a relationship with God to become followers of Jesus Christ for the rest of their lives.

SCC Youth: For all 6-12 graders, we have a growing group of students who are passionate in their pursuit of the 3 Vital Relationships. Currently, we invite Jr. High and Sr. High students to join us each week on Wednesday nights for a time of spiritual growth as we focus on our relationship with God and each other. Another outlet we provide for relational growth and group activity is our Life Groups. These groups meet every first and third weekend of the month. For more information on these and other calendar events, visit the SCC Student Ministries web link.

There are several different ways to get connected to SCC. We encourage everyone to come and experience a Sunday morning service and see what we are all about. We also offer small groups which we call Life Groups. Life Groups are the most effective way to form relationships and get connected.

Our Mission is to... Reach lost and hurting people with the love of God and disciple believers into fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. How Does Southbridge Carry Out its Mission? Pursue 3 Vital Relationships...1. Intimacy with GodConnecting people to God through Biblical study, serving the church and prayer.
(Acts 2:42)2. Community within the Church Building Biblical community through sharing life together, caring for each others needs, meeting in homes and worshipping God together.
(Acts 2:44-46)3. Influence outside the ChurchExperiencing God’s increase as we impact our family, friends, neighbors, community and the world with his love.
(Acts 2:47; Matthew 28:19-20) We believe that Acts 2:42-47 is the church model God has set before us to passionately pursue. Everything we do at Southbridge is meant to bring this passage to life within our church and community. We encourage every fully devoted follower of Christ at Southbridge to live out these scriptures in Acts 2 which are fulfilled through the 3 Vital Relationships. Live Out Five Life Purposes...1. Worship... Living for God’s PleasureYou were planned to bring enjoyment and pleasure to God.
(Revelation 4:11; Psalm 149:4) 2. Fellowship... Sharing Life TogetherYou were formed to be a part of God’s family... His church.
(1 John 3:1; Romans 8:15-16)3. Discipleship... Becoming Like ChristYou were shaped in the image of God so that you might be like him.
(Genesis 1:27; 2 Corinthians 3:18)4. Ministry... Serving God’s ChurchYou were made to serve God and his Church.
(Ephesians 2:10; Romans 12:1)5. Evangelism... Living with a MissionYou were created for a specific purpose.
(Proverbs 11:30; Matthew 28:19-20)

Worship Ministries The Worship Ministries department exists to create opportunities for people to serve and use their talents and abilities to honor the Lord. Worship is the umbrella that spans the Christian life. We believe that it is more than singing songs; it is an expression of trust and loyalty. Our actions and desires are the true measure of worship.Out of this understanding, we encourage each person to live a life that honors Christ. We challenge each one to pursue a life centered in the Spirit of God, aware of his leading and conviction. We welcome you to join us for our Sunday morning service as we corporately express our gratitude and praise to God through music and other creative expressions! We are always looking for musicians and vocalists who are willing to serve on Sunday mornings to help make the Sunday worship experience greater for others. We currently have a Praise Choir that joins the worship service twice a month and welcome anyone interested in joining this fun group!
